Tour Overview:

The Northern Crops Institute (NCI) is hosting a two-day export tour in Minneapolis, Minnesota from July 12-13. The tour provides an excellent opportunity for those involved in agriculture to visit the grain export facilities in Minneapolis. Participants will have the opportunity to tour the BNSF Hump Yard, meet with international trading companies, and see several scenic sites in Minneapolis, MN.

Tour will leave Fargo on Wednesday, July 12 at 7:30 am and plan to arrive in Minneapolis by 12:30 pm. The tour will conclude on Thursday, July 13 at 1:30 pm in Minneapolis and plan to arrive back in Fargo by 6:00 pm.

Objectives:

  • Learn about how exported goods move through the ports in Minneapolis/St. Paul

  • Tour BNSF Hump Yard

  • Meet with international trading companies

  • Set sail on a river tour

  • Much more!

Who Should Attend?

This tour will be available for current grain elevator staff, farmers, and industry professionals looking to learn more about exported goods handled through ports. This tour will also be beneficial for producers looking to understand how their grain is handled through the export channels.
