This webinar series focuses on providing education on pulse production and its uses to increase demand and farmer’s desire to grow pulses. This month will feature Nonoy Bandillo, Assistant Professor in the Department of Plant Sciences at North Dakota State University. Join us as Nonoy presents on Redesigning the Next-Generation Pulse Crop with Genetic Innovations.

About the Speaker.

Nonoy Bandillo | North Dakota State University

Nonoy Bandillo is assistant professor and pulse crop breeder who directs the NDSU pulse crop breeding and genetics program that releases new cultivars of dry pea, chickpea and lentil for the Northern Great Plains. Current research interests include development and evaluation of breeding tools and emerging technologies for increasing the rate of genetic gain in pulse crops. He also teaches advanced plant breeding and quantitative genetics. Prior to joining NDSU, he was a postdoctoral research associate in quantitative genetics and genomics at Cornell University. He received his Ph.D. in plant breeding and genetics at University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
